Allow me to introduce you to Salicious B Crumb. or Mamma or Miss Sally. All of you Star Wars fans will know what it means. SHe was a true rescue in our eyes. We got a call that some woman was going to toss her and another critter into te freeer unless they were picked up the next day. We made arrangments to pick her and the other guy up with both of the tanks. When we got there we discovered he horrible living conditions she was in. Every Friday 100 crickets were dumped in to her tank and the other tanks. They had a 100 watt bulb each and that was it. No veggies and the crickets were eating them. We were told that she had a male mate a year before but had nothing since. When we got her home, took abut 2 weeks to get her to take veggies and about a month to eat crickets. Feed her superworms, hornworms and got the right lights on here. Within a month she was extremly eggy and went the rest of the season with her laying eggs and being slighty cranky. Its now been 2 months with no eggs and now she gets to just relax and enjoy being spoiled. She still likes to wear the carrot hat and loves the eat strawberries mixed with kale out of an eye dropper. Cant save them all.. But even just one makes a difference. I know of a real reptiles rescue in Edmonton and I have to say I respect them more then anything in the world. We have about 63 critters right now and not even half of them are rescues and its tough for us, I have no idea how they do it up in Edmonton. From what I have read they also have a lot of adult Iguanas, man those people are special. I think of Hubby and I as just a small rock in the road of actually helping out on the larger scope of things.

Neil and Michele in Edmonton are a fantastic example of devotion to reptile rescue - they are the best!! We had several individuals from their rescue operation while we were in Edmonton - the last kingsnake we had from them passed away about 2 years ago -
