I really never make posts like this, but I just have to share my discovery of this life saving tool for grooming all things furry.
This product is called the Furminator, and is available online, or from petstores. It looks kinda like a traditional coat rake for dogs, but the edge is comprised of something like a dull clipper blade. The idea is that is removes copious amounts of dead undercoat from everything with fur...
I never believe all the hype I'd read about this thing...figured that the piles of removed hair almost as big as the grinning Husky laying beside it had to be fake...Besides, at $40.00 I wasn't about to spend that kind of money for a stupid dog comb...
Well I was wrong...After vacuuming the house 4 times on Sunday in preparation for company, I got fed up with all the hair from 3 dogs and 2 cats, and bought one of these...
Holly Crap! All I can say is that anyone who has furry beasts of any kind needs one of these things!!! So far it's done 3 cats, 3 dogs and a bunny - I'm rather disgusted to think that all that hair was floating around my house...ugghh. Seriously cool product - well worth the money!!
Sorry for the big commercial, but I just HAD to share!
Anyone else have any brilliant doggie care tips??

Where did you order it from? I'd be interested in getting one. My dogs are big-time shedders. Carol

We got ours from Petsmart here in Saskatoon...paid ~$40.00 for the small size. If you google Furminator, you should find a list of retailers on their website...Also, I know that it's available from Ren's Pets (pet supply store in ON(?) that does online/catalogue ordering), but I'm sure there are lots of others!
