That really sucks. India is such a disgusting social pit I wish we could relocate their entire fauna, like a 6 year old playing roughly with their toys, take away their animals until they learn to be careful with them. The act of genocide is illegal, but the act of hunting and poisoning leading to extinction has no special word to encompass the devastation of what is going on. Just the follow up term oh we believe that animal is extinct. What a joke, I bet the lizards of Iraq are having a tough time also, to bad Bush wants to fight so they get bombed. Hell in a hand basket people, hell in a hand basket. At least soon it will be warm.

Hmmm, that is rather strange. It's plausible that polluted fish may be the causative agent, however - it is odd that so many of them would have died in the same area at the same time. They also don't mention the levels of lead or cadmium that were present in the remains, so we don't know if the levels were toxic or not. As they are living in "clean" waters, a bacterial epidemic seems to make more sense. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, they'll report on the outcome.

"the world has toooo many people in it". I find myself saying this all the time. Simple answer that is so entirely complicated to put to work. At least China outlaws multiple people, and westerners are two hip to have kids... until hollywood's glamerized it again
