I have been breeding mice for a few years now,and never have come across this yet,and wondering if any body has either,I have been putting the same male in with the same female's ( 3-1 trio ) it was the 3rd time all being together, all of the condtions have been the same, when i went to check up on them and the male was dead, his face was totally chewed off,I think they killed him ,cause would they eat his face if they were just hungry? I give them a proper diet that does have good protien, and alway's give them lot's off food, the rest of his body was not damaged

It's hard to say if they killed him or not. Yes, they nibble everything and could have munched on him. He could have just been old, a few years is a long time for a breeder mouse. I keep my 1.3 groups together. There is less stress with introductions and the males don't bother the females and pups as long as they are part of the group.
