This is Sweets. We got him in an exchange deal. We met a couple that had a juvie beardie that they couldnt handle at all due to him becoming aggresive with them. They had always wanted a Leo so we exchanged critters. When we first set up his tank he was a wild guy. We had them come over for a visit and tell us more about him. We they first got him they had him in a tank in the living room, then about a month later they moved him to second room. It was after that they he become so feisty with them that they stopped holding him. We moved him closer to the living room area and noticed something... He watched TV. Crazy lil guy was a TV junkie. Would spaz out if the lights were on and NO TV. Was hilarious to watch him but he enjoyed TV. So our method with him was to handle him ONLY with the TV on. Took a few weeks but after that we could handle him without the TV on. Now we have moved him in to the larger tank away from the TV and he is more mellow. One difference with handling him then the others is that his spikes actually hurt!!!! His whole top and sides are extremly rough and if he is all jumpy and moving around a lot you actually hurt after holding him. The kids wear over mitts when holding him but other then that he likes the attention and loves baths, he is our biggest swimmer! I took this picture tonight and it doesnt really show off the oranges he has but he is also about to start a shed so I will get some more mid. feb. Attachments:
