Monday March 16 my pair of haitians were firmly grasped in the throws of mating. Time to shuffle around the loner jeweled curly tail to the juvenile cage. Just an update, hope for some eggs now.

My bad, they are oviporous. Or a non-egglaying species. I'm really excited.

Now I'm getting kind of worried about the birthing process. I have no info on it i.e. flying by the seat of my pants. I need some sort of time frame to seperate the female from the male. I prefer a theory better than watching closely.
I will put her in her own 10gal tank with a 13 watt 10.0 UVB compact(same as current tank) and some cork bark; with a paper towel floor(easy cleaning); or would I be better off with a bare glass floor?

No, I would stick with the paper towel. Glass floors are just stressfull and don't offer any footing. As long as the female is well fed, and hydrated, there shouldn't be any problems with the birthing. Perhaps most importantly, is to have a good source of tiny prey items for the neonates. Pinhead crickets should suffice, but I know in many places they can be hit or miss in availability. Fruit flies might be an option... roaches might be too, though their first instars are the biggest of the these three options.
Good luck and keep your camera handy!

Um yah, so SK has some nasty spiders and apparently they can take down a trio of curly tails. Just my luck with lizards the last few years! Shitty

My house has always had spiders they are not really big. But at some point a mother of all house spiders crawled into there tank and set up a web in the cave on the colder side of the tank. I didn't notice this till all my haitians were gone. When I tore down the tank to see what could have caused the three to die I found a web in the cave on the roof of it inside. Will never be sure as I did not see any marks on the lizards when I did the death inspection. But I'm blaming that web and the spider I never found.

I have a house spider infestation as well. I feed them to my curly tails which love to chase them down. I personally doubt that it was the spiders, but don't know the arachno species of Saskatoon.
