Hi Ho. Can anyone give me some insight as to how to remove a retained shed from the bottom half of my beardie's tail? I don't want to damage the little guy. Merci! Lisa

Soke him for about 10-15 minutes in warm water to loosen the skin and then gently rub the skin off with a warm wet cloth... that should do the trick if i know what you're talking about and I've assumed you mean he had a bad shed and didn't get the skin off himself

That's exactly what I meant. Actually, I previously did what you had mentioned and it finally came off yesterday! I bought some 'shed ease' from PLand, but I was hesitant on using it until it was absolutely necessary. I'm just glad the water worked - he gets regular baths but this time I really worked on his tail. Do you (or anyone else for that matter) have any experience with this Shed Ease stuff? Is it safe?

Shed ease is fine, I mix a small amount with aloe vera when working on my beardies tail.

You could give him a wet hide as well just let him hang out in there and it will come off after a while

At the store we mist the small guys enclosure and leave a moist hide. If that isnt enough we give them baths.
