Just wondering what everyone is doing with corns this year.
I think I will just have the usual this year . . .nomals, crimsons, ad amels. Hoping to see some butters by the end of the season if my female is big enough.
Rock on!

Best of luck with those breedings Travis - hope your female is large enough so you get some butters this year.
I have limited breedings planned - only three adult females currently and I am growing up many youngsters and have some 2007 babies still to sell, so not likely to breed many more this year until numbers are reduced. The only clutch I am really intersted in producing is a cross between my high emoryi percentage rootbeer, possible het blood female and my ultramel male. He has quite a reduced side pattern that is suggestive of diffusion as well, so will be interesting to see how those turn out. Will have to see how things work out though, may not incubate many eggs this year from corns,

Well, the female is at the minimum right now. She's at about 300 grams, but I want to try to get her at least over 400. There is a story that goes behind this pair. As apparently the person who sold them to the breeders I got them from said the the female had "double clutched" last year, and she was in really bad shape. I think she weighted like 150 at one point in time. But now the male and female are both doing great. So we'll see what happen in the next couple months.

Well I have news, I may or may not be contributing to corns in Saskatchewan this season. I was recently given a male and female around 6 years old each (the guy was unsure about almost everything but their sizes and colors). They've been kept together by him since he's had them and may have already been doing business and I have to keep them together until another tank is made available to me. But anyway it should be interesting to see what happens seen as how I have no idea of what their traits are. The female looks like an Amel and the male looks like an Anery but like I said, no hets so it's gonna be a mystery. Hopefully I can get some pictures up for you guys to take a look see for yourselves. I'm realllllly hoping I can get started on breeding this year!!!!

Where are you located? You have a very nice collection and I can't wait to see what you produce this year. Do you have a site?

Originally, from Moose Jaw.. Unfortunantly at this time I am in Southern California.. I have no way to ship to Canada at this time, nor do i know how to ship out of the US..
I have thought about moving farther north, maybe Montana, but I am unsure of moving back home at this time..
tandjscorns.com is my site.. If you look under breeding you will find more of a description of what and who these animals are...
Thank you for your kind words..

A busy year this year Mary.. I know I need to sit down and starting working on next years plans too, which will contain some fairly high end morph potentials with out so many breedings like this year.. I really don;t have the desire to want to take care of 3000 hatchlings, and I think we will settle with about 500 maximum from here out..
