Aloha from the Frozen Dunes of Regina-- It's almost that time of year again - when I must journey north for the festival of too many cookies, too much wine, and so forth. "Grandma" really wants Argyle to come home for the season too (and so do I!) - she's already making a home away from home for him.... (I never thought I'd see the day when my Mom would let me bring live crickets into her house, with her knowing, that is) ANYWAY - it's a 4 hour drive - how can I bring home my dragon without him turning into a beardsicle? Those heat pads for your mittens have been suggested - but are they safe? Any suggestions? Looking forward to hearing your replies - Lisa

You need to put those mitten warmers in something like a sock... otherwise they burn oxygen too fast and get really hot and not for very long... also, if the container is quite closed up you need to worry about how much oxygen your dragon has after awhile. I use hot water bottles wrapped in a towel... you can usually fill them up at gas stations if you think they need to be freshened up Also, obviously make sure the car is good and warm before the pet goes in and carry him under your nice warm jacket whenever he's outside

Thanks very much! I think I'll go with the hot water bottles! Have a great X-Mas!
