Well this is one of the sunglows after shed, I wasn't sure if he was an albino at first given that when this little guy was born he was completely white. I beleive that that was due to the littler being a little premature they all had big bellies. However it's a nice surprise to have more sunglows.......I hope you all like him as much as I do. MO

That snake was born very light, but I saw the classic salmon pattern, and hoped it would shed out to be a sunglow. Have the 2 other brighter sunglows shed out yet Mo? For those who don't keep up on the boa threads on www.reptilescanada.com , Mo bred a salmon (co-dominant) het sunglow (recessive albino trait) to a normal female he picked up along the way. Walking in and finding albino's in the mass of recently deposited babies, made him numb for 2 full days. The normal female must have been het albino. He was only expecting salmons, an exciting litter on their own, but he produced 3 sunglow boas, a combination of albino and salmon, and very coveted. For those who don't know, that made him the 3rd in Canada to produce sunglows, which are expected to be offered for $6000 each this year. That ranks right up there with all my other $18,000 morning suprises.... He had plans to buy a sunglow boa this year, but now doesn't need to. I've always been interested in what appears to be problems associated with albino boas, it is a controversial topic and there are many different theories. Don't be suprised to see the topic come up in the nerd section in the near future. But yeah, I love boa constrictors, and every time I see a nice one, I want to move to Alberta. Our boa litter from 2004 is at the top of the list for most memorable (in a good way) snake keeping experience in my life. I've said it before, If i had to give up every other snake and only keep one species, I'd have a tough time not picking BCI's. Ryan
