This is my baby Scallion. I have wanted a snake ever since I was a little girl and on Xmas of 2004 my wish came true thanks to my best friend, Jason and my bf, Chad. Scallion is a great snake but he did have a bit of trauma. I made the mistake of letting Chad's friend hold him and the moron dropped him. It was only about a foot but ever since Scallion musks when you pick him up. He is slowly getting over it tho...I think. He has a great appetite and has never once bit me (although he did come close once, but that was my fault). Scallion is the best gift I could have ever asked for, especially considering Chad is afraid of snakes and he even lets me keep him in our bedroom. The thing that made him stand out from the other snakes I could have chosen is his markings. They are prettymuch look perfectly symmetrical. I don't know if they will stay like that but they have in the past year I have had him. When I first got him....so tiny. A total attention suck. All he wanted to do was pose for the camera that day. Going to work out on the jungle gym we made him. A ball of love....or just fury. Not sure which. Gorgeous head shot. The next top model!

Wow, those are gorgeous markings!
My kingsnake Cleo musked only once, when she was little and I was holding her and my Mom made a sudden motion towards her to pet her. Fortunately Cleo only got me, and that was the only time it happened.
I am amazed at how fast she can move when she wants to. One other time she was scared by something when a guest was holding her and suddenly Cleo disappeared and was found curled up in a ball between the small of the guest's back and the couch.

Well he doesn't musk but I have to be very secure in how I pick him up I've noticed. I no longer let anyone pick him up and the only person that can hold him (other than me) is Chad...and he hasn't in about a year.
