Once you've clicked on a multi page thread to view it, you only see the first page.
To see the second page, there is a small drop down tab on the bottom left of the thread, with the number 1 in it. Change it to 2, to see the second page.
It is very easy to miss.
When looking at the threads forum by forum, any multipage threads will show a 1 and a 2 by the title, indicating the thread has run into its second page.
