last herp trip of the year

Well here is my first and last herp trip of the year.
Sept. 30 at leader, picked up Ryan and we went out for a few hours.
pretty late in the year but we seen about 25 snakes, all 3 were still out. But unfortunately no large bulls or piles of rattlesnakes.

I really like #2 and #3. Very nice shot for how small those baby garters are.

The one in my hand actually looks bigger in the picture than I remember it.

There must have been a lot of out because even I found some of them just moving in the grass, they are tiny and very hard to see - but we saw lots of them.

NIce piks, always love to see the herps of the Leader area as well as the scenery. I guess it's time to settle in for the winter and brumate ourselves to some sort of an extent.
