Dug up a lot of pictures I’ve taken over the years, thought I’d post a few of them. This is the first herp picture I that I took with my new camera, I entered inot a reptile photo contest and it placed pretty well Notice anything missing on this rattlesnake? I’ve found a few like this, I’m not sure if they were born this way or not. I’d always heard stories of people cutting off their rattlers (to not break any protection laws when collecting rattles) but I had always dismissed those as just stories. However since then, a guy I work with told me that he and his dad did infact used to cut the rattles off and let the snakes go, this one was found very close to where they used to ranch…. A few more pictures I’ve taken, the older ones were taken with a low resolution camera. Notice the rattlesnake on top of the old couger den (I checked, no couger living there any more) Adult with a yearling I’ve got more pictures of the adults with their babies at the rookeries in the Fall, for some reason this was the only one I could find though. We’ve seen this patternless rattlesnake since 2002, and it always seems to come back to the exact same den (rattlesnakes have been found to travel up to 20 miles away in the summer, and then to return to the exact same densites in the fall) Scarface, really cranky rattler we see each year. Rattlesnake that a friend of mine colored his tail to see if I’d find it again, and if so where and when I find which colors

Those are some great shots Ryan!! Thought I'd throw in a couple more pics. Here's a hatchling with a snake hook in there for a size comparison.

I also have a lot of pictures of scarface. f**ker tried to bite me last fall, and totally would've if I hadn't been wearing denim. There was no warning either - coiled nicely, sitting quietly, and so I probably was closer than I would've been otherwise. I'll have to get some pics of the bicephalic one up.

I'll have to get some pics of the bicephalic one up. Yeah, or even that one with 2 heads would be cool too! Ryan
