Reading the recent posts on this forum makes me realize that Saskatchewan is going to see a large variety of some really cool and hight quality c.b reptiles this year.
I think it would be nice if everyone lists what they are going to attempt to breed, all in 1 thread. Feel free to post prices if you know what you will be selling them for, but if you don't want to I understand.
Manitoba has a "breeders list" which is intended to go on their webpage. If there is interest from the group to have something like that on our webpage, we could think about doing that as well. Your posts here won't be used for that, if we decide to do something like that I will accept the entries via email.
This thread is for all HISS members, not only those from Saskatchewan. In this day and age, getting something from someone in Winnipeg or Calgary is very easily done, especially if you plan to take in one of the shows this year.

In 2007 I should have even more to offer and you'll have to wait and see , but one of those things will be Hypo Everglades Rats and possibly Lavender corns.I will also be breeding bearded dragons by then as well.

All I have that may be preggers is one of my many, many black ratsnakes. I just like them. It's kind of unfortunately I've bred them as I'll end up hoarding them, as will be the case with the climacophora.
Hey Ryan, lemme know if you do get tiger rat eggs. Yours are the parents of my big guy, so if you can spare an extra female I'll have someone for him to get incestuous with who should be comparable in colour. Mine has turned into an irritable bastard - he actually slashed across my whole face a few weeks back (actually, Valentines day) when I changed his water dish. My classmates thought I must've got up to something much more exciting than I actually had... I think I need to get tongs or a hook for him.

Throw me on that list too Ryan!! I remember holding one of those big grumpy bastards of yours, impressive snakes.
Oh and Alex....I'm a black rat freak too but unfortunately I don't have any at the moment, maybe you could hook me up there.

Here is a link the MHS Breeder Index: www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~cranwill/mhs/breederindex.htmlI say you guys should get the same sort of thing going. My only advice is to ask that people only list things they actually are producing or will likely be producing next year. I know some of our guys got a bit carried away and listed things they just bought as hatchlings or don't even have a mate for yet. lol Not exactly what I was trying for, but ok... As for a more specific list from me, here is what I am hoping for and working with: - Ball Pythons: Normals, Albinos (07), Pastels, Spiders and a few question marks . - Carpet Pythons: IJs and Jungles (07). - Cornsnakes: Normals, Albinos, Anerys, Hypos, Snows, Ghosts, Striped and combos of each. - South Florida Kingsnakes - Honduran Milksnakes: Normals, Crazy/Spotted, Albinos (07), Hypos (07) and a magical mystery snake! Stay tuned. - Crested Geckos

Thanks for posting that Tim. Lots of cool stuff us Saskatchewan people can keep legally, and even more cool stuff we can't (for now...). I get to Tims once a year, he comes out for a show, and him coming to Saskatchewan or meeting us part way (Winnipeg is only 5 hours from Regina) would likely work for a larger order. Lots of great breeders already posting to this thread. I think what he did with www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~cranwill/mhs/breederindex.html is awesome, and if you want to be included on a Saskatchewan Breeders list - email me your list of 2006 potential offspring to Ryan@hisscanada.com. And now about the tiger rats.... Well they are definitely not going to produce for me now with all you willing buyers. Thanks for jinxing it for me Alex, how old is yours? I now only have the 2 that are your parents (which produced eggs before I owned them) and I'm curious to know when they last laid a fertile clutch. Ryan

Great suggestion Tim - that type of list would be very useful and I agree that it would be nice to limit it to things that are actually in the works, or to indicate what year you expect to produce them. I was sure I posted here with links to the other two threads I have on our breeding plans, but must have gotten lost in cyber-space. We expect to produce a wide variety of corns and creamsicles from the parents shown in this thread. Some breeding underway, but anticipate babies not ready to go til near the end of August. All our corns are registered with the American Cornsnake Resgistry and all offspring will be eligible for registration. I support this registry because it means everyone who buys creamsicles or other intergrades (hybrids) from us will know the heritage of them - no confusing them with 'pure' corns. The corn breedings are listed here hisscanada.proboards98.com/index.cgi?board=cornsnakes&action=display&thread=1143846437We also have some Honduran milksnake breedings planned for this spring as listed here - should produce albinos, hopefully tangerine, and het ghosts this year. hisscanada.proboards98.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=kingsandmilks&thread=1143845817&page=1#1144295813thanks, mary v.

Thanks for your input Mary.
If we set it up like how Tim has his set up (very well done IMO) - we will need the following information
Name Location Web Page Email Phone# Species working with
If you want to be on the Saskatchewan list, email me that information to Ryan@HISSCanada.com
I'm thinking we could also link to the Manitoba list from the Saskatchewan site. I'm not sure if Alberta has a list like that to link to or not, but any Alberta HISS members can also send their information in and I can make a catagory for Alberta members on the HISS Breeders listing.

I got Auryn in the October of my 4th year at UBC... so 3? I get insecure because he's so small... I want him to turn into one of the giant Spilotes, but he's at about 6 1/2 feet right now I think Dr. Phil may have had more, but I'm not sure. The last time I talked to him (which was awhile ago) he had 3 males from those adults you now have; I'm not sure if they're clutchmates or siblings from another clutch. I know he also has (had?) a Mexican spilotes male that may have fathered some of them.
