Hi all, decided to try something a little more natural in my terrarium so I put a layer of ecoterra moss on the bottom along with a money treee plant. Wanting to know if this is safe or should I get it all out asap?? I have heard conflicting things about using moss and would like some advice. Thanx! ;D

I don't know if an all moss substrate would be very good. Not that it couldn't work, I just think it might be hard to clean and you may have crickets hiding out in it. You may also have issues with the humidity. It may start to mold if it gets to humid or it may be hard to keep it humid at all. I guess you could try it out and see how it works. There is a good thread on here how to set up a natural viv. hisscanada.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=housing&action=display&thread=994

ya, was thinking the same things after I put it in there! I am going to pick up some cocoa fiber and hydroballs this week and add moss more as an accent

Ya that sounds like a good idea. You should post some pics when you get it all done.
